In addition to being hired by the Long Island Children's Museum to continue working in the theatre, I was also hired to work birthday parties. This involves supervising a group of typically 10-25 children with possible ages of 2-10 years old throughout the museum for a fun education experience. I have learned how to run many themed birthday parties including superhero, spy, messy, science, explorer, story art, bugs, totspot music, and totspot art parties.

I started as a summer intern through Adelphi's Community Fellows Program. During my time as an intern I developed an organizational system for audio and visual archives, created promotional videos for summer Puppet Festival in which I wrote the scripts, controlled the puppets, and helped with editing of the videos. During the summer puppet festival I designed and controlled lighting programming for various performances as well as working with video and sound. I also performed front of house duties for all shows.I helped extensively with the show Dishwasher's Circus including building and painting scenery and running props for multiple performances and runs. For this show I also did voice over work to add to the soundtrack as well as assisting with the final completion of the script.After my ten weeks as an intern, I was hired part time to continue working in the theatre working on various performances such as the second run of Dishwasher's Circus, and a production of Go, Dog. Go! in which I was in charge of managing props. During the second run of Go, Dog. Go! I filled in as an actor in one performance as MC Dog.I was also an actor in their production of "Alice in Radioland", a version of Alice in Wonderland adapted in the style of a 1940's live radio show.

At the center for career development I approve and create new job postings for the online job database. I helped organize student and employer information in spreadsheets for the community fellows program which is Adelphi's paid internship program for non profit organizations. I also developed and presented ideas for the student orientation for the community fellows program as well as created new easy-to-read instructions for online time card procedures. I am also working on increasing knowledge of GoingGlobal, a resource funded by Adelphi donors. I have made flyers using Microsoft Publisher as well as wrote an article that will be in Adelphi's school newspaper "The Delphian".

I prepare events for clients including lectures, guest performances, and student led performances including event set up and backstage assistance. My typical duties include ensuring the operations of the building run smoothly. During days of events I help out wherever needed whether it be front of house, back of house, or setting up for a reception. On a daily basis I keep track of the maintenance of the building, noting anything that needs to be fixed. I schedule events on EMS software as well as scheduling front of house employees using Google documents. I also conduct labor cost estimate sheets to accurately predict new budgets as well as any other clerical work as needed. I have also trained all new operations assistants to become acquainted with the job tasks and have created a daily Operations Assistant Report checklist.

Over the course of the summer we are having 9 different events. I also help manage the social media for this project on Facebook and Twitter always creating new goals to increase viewership.

In the development department I made and kept records of participating donors in order to prepare and coordinate donor acknowledgement letters and follow-up letters. In the entrepreneurial programs department researched and implemented new cookie booth site locations in office buildings. I also utilized Excel to record and track rewards data.
