Camp Louise is the leading provider of an exceptional, fun-filled Jewish overnight camp experience for girls. In summer 2020, I will be responsible for the Senior Trainee Unit, made of campers entering 10th grade. I will plan and facilitate leadership-based training session for the campers as they enter their first summer of a three-summer counselor training program. In addition, I will lead overnight trips from Cascade, Maryland to Cedar Point, Ohio.Other responsibilities include: -Maintaining constant communication with the parents of the campers, including sending updates and answering any questions or concerns. -Training American and International counselor prior to the arrival of campers, as well as mentoring and providing effective feedback throughout the summer. -Providing support for campers regarding mental health, cliques, diversity, relationships at home, etc. -Collaborating with supervisor to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner. Complete projects for Undergraduate Admissions staff, provide answers for visiting families, maintain tour guide attendance, assist in coordination of Accepted Student Programs.

Provide tours for prospective and accepted students at the University Park campus. Answer questions regarding Penn State academics, student life, housing, and so on.

I completed the 100-hour Child Maltreatment and Advocacy Studies Capstone as a part of the Reunification and Juvenile Mentoring Program team. I assisted with the Aggression Replacement Training program, created a Life Book for a teen graduating high school, observed weekly parent-child visits, maintained files, and accompanied case workers on home visits.

Collaborated with Penn State Hillel staff and student leaders to create eye-catching and informational graphics for all Hillel events using Adobe Photoshop.

Selected as 1 of 4 Camp Louise fellows for the Foundation of Jewish Camp 5-day Cornerstone seminar where I exchanged ideas, attended workshops, and developed skills to make a positive, innovative impact on the Camp Louise community. Collaborated with my co-fellows to create and implement a good deed initiative for campers to participate in throughout the summer.
