As a Grade 3 teacher and team leader, I worked with both children and teams of adults. I supported students by co-developing relevant and meaningful curriculum to inspire them to take action in their lives and communities. A huge advocate for student agency, I built in regular, vital time to support students in setting individualized goals that they would plan for, work towards, self-assess and ultimately reach. When we turn the decision-making over to our learners, we're setting them up for success in life.
