The opinions expressed here are my own, and do not represent those of my employers.My scientific journey over the last two decades has been driven by a commitment to social justice, equity, and the power of transparent, well-designed research to impact lives.Currently, my research in Dr. Huntsman's Laboratory focuses on identifying molecular determinants that drive ovarian cancer progression using cutting-edge technologies and a wide array of molecular tools. This work aims to discover new therapeutic options for patients with aggressive disease. Previously, my postdoctoral research advanced the understanding of factors contributing to sarcoma metastasis and proposed translational medicine approaches using quantitative research methodologies. Additionally, I am a board-certified pathologist, having received my medical training in Egypt.My scientific ethos is rooted in compassion and empathy, high standards of education, and integrity. I am dedicated to pioneering new research and developing innovative procedures. At the heart of my approach is a deep conviction that engaged teaching and leadership can significantly contribute to a more transparent and equitable society.I am excited about the next chapter of my journey, with aspirations to visit places I've always dreamed of, including Madinah, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman.
