I completed my Master’s in civil engineering from the University of Windsor (Date of Completion: August 30, 2022). During these 6 years of my undergraduate and graduate study, I acquired in-depth knowledge ofproject management, construction monitoring, technical reports, design calculations, and computer modeling.In the final year of my under-graduation, I completed a 4-month internship at Skycity Builders and Promoters Pvt. Limited, Chandigarh where I learned the concepts of Fabrication, Erection, and Scaffolding work. After completing my graduation, I was appointed as a Field Coordinator at JAS Construction Company. I performed the task of liaising with clients for their requirements by shaping their imagination, in reality, using AutoCAD and supervising the construction site. During this period, I learned all the aspects of project management, estimation, and costing, quantity take-offs including bills of quantities. Consequently, also polished my skills on software like MS Project, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and STAAD.Pro. Simultaneously, I also worked part-time as a Property Consultant for four years, to support my goals. Outside the classroom, this was a whole new world, where I developed excellent written and verbal communication skills and managed essential documentation including contracts, quotations, and bills.During my graduate study, I received my formal exposure to Engineering Project Management (PMBOK),Design Structure with Canadian Codes (STAAD-Pro), Building Information Modelling (BIM), and ProjectPlanning and Control. I also managed to write a research paper titled, “BIM for Construction Estimationand Cost Management”, which is under review by the professor for publication.
