Colleagues describe her as "I have known Amanda for more than 10 years and have never seen a person who has been more prepared, more organized, more helpful and more of a team player. She single-handedly held the New Hampshire Institute of Art's admissions department together through multiple administrative/personnel changes. She worked tirelessly (volunteering) organizing and facilitating on her days off, to make sure that all of the incoming students and professional art educators were treated to the best possible experience. I have been teaching at the Institute for more than 22 years and I can say this with certainty...When she left, the Institute lost the single most valuable person they ever had. "
