Work as a technician for the Vascular team who place PICC's, Midlines, and help with IV's. We go between the University of Utah hospital as well as the Huntsman Cancer Institute daily. I set up sterile field following sterile technique, assist the nurse that I am working with as well as aid in the comfort of the patient. Do charting, place orders, help look at the x rays, and help communicate with the nurses and doctors that are taking care of the patients as well as educating the hospital staff and patients families what we are doing and help with any concerns or questions.
