As a teaching assistant, I provided assistance to the artists selected to teach the students at the de Young summer camp. The camp is focused on teaching kids to view art through a critical and creative lens, while also presenting a space where they can create and explore art safely and freely. The art projects included many mediums, such as drawing and painting, sculpture, and mixed media. My job was to help develop lesson plans and to assist in teaching children how to critically view and speak about art.

Being a member of the exhibition team at the Fine Arts Gallery at San Francisco State University meant being a jack of all trades when it came to developing, organizing, and executing exhibitions. My role shifted on a day-to-day basis. I spent a lot of time condition reporting the objects we were responsible for and acting as a registrar, while also assisting in the installation and documentation process through photography. Every day was different, which meant I learned a lot about the various areas and disciplines it takes to execute a successful exhibition.
