As a Finance Manager at a local company, I oversee the financial operations and reporting of the organization, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency. I also work as a bookkeeper for the same company, where I manage the accounts payable, receivable, and payroll. I have a certificate in accounting from Yukon College, and I am proficient in Wave Accounting and Quickbooks. Both are cloud-based software that simplifies bookkeeping and invoicing. I have experience with Sage as well as three years of experience with Buildium which is a cloud based property management software. I have also earned multiple certifications in customer service, which enable me to handle abusive customers, build rapport, and solve problems. With over six years of experience in finance and 25 years in customer service, I have developed strong skills in active listening, minutes, communication, and analysis. I am passionate about helping small businesses and local communities thrive, and I am always eager to learn new ways to improve my performance and deliver value. I volunteer in my community when I can. I have volunteered for Yukon First Nation Native Hockey Tournament, Rendezvous Festival, Autism Yukon (3 years on the board) and currently assisting in the creation of a new non for profit who’s main focus is creating extraordinary experiences for children with Special Needs. I also currently on the board for my condo corp as the treasurer.
