Manufactured virtually seamless stone and mother of pearl veneer counter tops, bull-noses and decorative inlay for private jets and watercraft. I was responsible for designing, cutting, honing stone thickness to the specified micron, color and vein matching of stone pieces, color matching and mixing for adhesive and filler, gluing, grinding and final polishing to create the effect of a solid piece of stone when in reality it is lightweight, and flexible (sometimes buoyant). I was even able to wrap curved and intricate baroque bull-noses, not just flat surfaces.

We make jewelry from e-waste and found objects like couches, vacuums, fans, etc. The majority of our materials are saved from the landfills by dumpster diving and its bastard cousin curb surfing. We use Junked computers, electronics and motors of various types from Craig’s List, local computer repair shops and yard sales, too. A portion of our materials are purchased new, such as clasps and chains (the structurally important parts of the jewelry). All waste material is collected and either processed as bulk scrap, disposed of through local e-waste centers, and of course the small amount of “trash” that cannot be processed as materials or scrap is used for generating electric power by the local municipality.
