During my time at Retail Trust I have done a little bit of everything. I started off as receptionist to Marshall Estate where I helped the facilities manager, booked repair jobs, looked after the compliance files, liaised with contractors as well as normal everyday reception tasks. A few years after that I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to PA for the then CEO, CFO and director of fundraising, I moved away from estate tasks to concentrate on this. I started off as receptionist to Marshall Estate where I helped the facilities manager, booked repair jobs, looked after the compliance files, liaised with contractors as well as normal everyday reception tasks. A few years after that I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to PA for the then CEO, CFO and director of fundraising, I moved away from estate tasks to concentrate on this. Here I set meetings and travel, helped with the editing and distribution of Board /committee packs as well as financial statements and any other administrative task set. I then was asked to help with our yearly fundraising event the Retail Trust Celebration as support. I attended the committee meetings taking minutes and helping to source the Silent Auction prizes, tombola and goody bags. The committee were amazing to work with - a very proud time for me. I also helped with a couple of the mid summer celebrations in Manchester doing the same sort of thing. When covid hit I was one of two people who was at the estate, my main task was helping support the support workers during this time and to ensure our residents had everything they needed. During this time we also had no maintenance so we helped in any way we could from arranging food parcels to clearing gutters and arranging contractor visits. I was also helping our new CEO. When covid ended and the charity was getting busier within the executive team I stepped back a little from the estate side to help support. Now I help support the CEO, MD and COO taking minutes, booking travel, arranging internal and external meetings, booking rooms and looking after trustees .
