In this role, I review documentation for students with disabilities and provide academic accommodations.I collaborate with faculty to ensure accommodations are implemented properly, and I oversee notetaking and alternative media services. In coordination with others in Academic Success Center, I assist with programming for students in developmental courses, a peer mentoring program for at-risk students, and training tutors as part of a College Reading and Learning Association certified program. I also supervise our campus' AmeriCorps VISTA, who coordinates our Connect2Complete Peer Advocates program.

I reviewed documentation of student disabilities, met with students to discuss the effects of their disabilities, and implemented academic accommodations for those students. I also provided support to faculty members working with students with disabilities.

I supervise CRLA-certified peer tutor training program, supplemental instructors, and desk assistants, as well as assist the ADA Coordinator in implementing accommodations for students with disabilities at the Smucker Learning Center. I also assist our office in planning and presenting workshops on student learning and study strategies and participate in the Student Programming and Participation Task Force.
