I started consuming Cannabis as a teenager after I figured out that it would help my anxiety. (I got my first stress ulcer in the 4th grade… So anxiety has always been a struggle...)In 2015 my 3 year old son, Wyatt, was diagnosed with B6 ALL Leukemia. That diagnosis was obviously earth shattering…. I lost my job, ended the relationship I was in…. Times were tough.I started working odd jobs on Cannabis farms, and eventually got hired on at Guild Extracts as a packager. They allowed me to have an incredibly flexible schedule, so I was able to take my son to Chemo, or take days off when he wasn’t feeling good, and still stay employed. PLUS, I gained access to a whole new world of amazing Cannabis medicine. After my son reached remission, I worked my way out of the packaging department and became Guild Extracts’ Customer Service Manager. I helped manage our customers (100s of CA dispensaries and their customers), ran their team of Brand Ambassadors, helped with events, and more. I spent about 6 years with Guild. And though I don’t technically work there anymore, the Guild Extracts team will always hold a special place in my heart, and are still truly family to me to this day.I’ve since held a few different roles in the space, and love seeing the Cannabis Industry from all different angles. I worked as a Solutions Architect for Backbone Software, where I went into different Cannabis manufacturing facilities, learned their procedures, and built customized software for each companies processes. I’m now Head of Community for PayRio. PayRio is a female founded Payment Processing company helping the Cannabis space compliantly process Debit and Credit cards. As their HOC, my job is to help PayRio build and maintain community relationships in the Cannabis space.I also launched a Cannabis Blog called For:20 Minutes in February of 2023. For:20 Minutes is focused on the Cannabis community and Cannabis normalization. It’s a place where I discusses everything Cannabis… Events, culture, people, products, brands… and more.

Head Of CommunityPayrio, Inc. Nov 2022 - PresentSan Francisco Bay AreaPayRio is a female founded boutique Cannabis/CBD payment processor. Our extensive network of partnerships and in-house expertise ensure that we can find a program that suits our customers needs quickly and efficiently with simplified low cost pricing and leading technology.Let me be blunt… Being a cash based business is dangerous! It’s one of the main reasons dispensaries are robbed so regularly. It’s not just the product, criminals know that there are large amounts of cash on site. This puts your business, your revenue, and your employees at increased risk. It’s one of the reasons I’m so passionate about PayRio and the service we offer. I believe it is helping make cannabis businesses safer. As PayRio's Head of Community, I lead our pack in Cannabis Community engagement and collaboration. The PayRio team is full of people who are passionate about helping cannabis professionals succeed, in any way we can. I help build relationships, create content, spread the word about events, and manage our Public Relations. -
