My interests and strengths lie in the elucidation of homogeneous reaction mechanisms through kinetic, electrochemical, and spectroscopic methods, with the objectives of improving the reaction and discovering potentially new reactivity. My doctoral work focused on the determination of the reaction mechanisms operative behind copper-catalyzed transformations. I have post-doctoral experience in the isolation of highly-reactive metal centers, hydrogen production from water, and carbon dioxide reduction.
