Part-time research assistant position while going to school. Primarily working on Acarology dung beetle host project doing various tasks such as:-Using microscope to count and identify mites on dung beetle hosts from various collection sites.-Slide mounting various mite species for further processing.-Entering mite and dung beetle host identification data into an Excel spreadsheet.

Summer position doing mostly curatorial work in the Canadian National Collection of Insects, Arachnids and Nematodes. -Entering identification information, specifically about mite specimens (microscope slides), into the collection database. -Washing plant samples to retain mites specimens for further processing.-Using a microscope to count and identify mite species on beetle hosts.

Summer J1 Visa program working in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. My role was in merchandise at the Emporium on Main Street USA. Working in the largest store of the busiest theme park on the planet challenged me to create meaningful connections with people from all over the world. This experience allowed me to develop valuable social and problem-solving skills in a unique environment.

Summer position doing mostly curatorial work in the Canadian National Collection of Insects, Arachnids and Nematodes. -Entering identification information, specifically about mite specimens (microscope slides), into the collection database. -Using Berlese funnels to filter mites within dirt samples collected from field sites and storing/freezing the filtered specimens in ethanol vials.-Performing miscellaneous tasks assisting with various projects within the Acarology department.

Served as a cashier at the Loblaws Barrhaven location. Worked in a diverse and fast-paced environment providing quality customer service.
