After over 10 years in the nonprofit world, I find myself eager for a new career endeavor. Have I amassed a collection of hard skills in that time that I could list off? Sure. Excel. Budgeting. All things Microsoft. American Red Cross certified First Aid/CPR Instructor. Trained Human Rights and Safety Officer. Certified in Medication Administration. Every iteration of professional communication you could imagine. But the most important skills, the ones that will enable me to be successful in any setting, are my interpersonal skills.I am a highly adept at, and comfortable with, working with all types of people and personalities. From working in a restaurant as a broke college student. To diving into the nonprofit world working with Department of Mental Health clientele as an ambitious college grad. And eventually making the leap to managing all-female, residential programs for adults with brain injuries. I have encountered an incredibly broad spectrum of personality types (and disorders) and cognitive abilities and am consistently successful and effective in my ability to communicate, actively listen, problem-solve, delegate and motivate. Couple that with being a quick learner - I have the tools needed to be successful in any environment. Do I feel like the right fit for your organization?
