-Curriculum Development as required-Assist in Research and development of materials necessary to supplement the curriculum-Develop workplace essential skills focused on participant material and activities-Use sound adult education principles and strategies throughout all planning, instruction andevaluation and customize instruction for diversity and inclusion-Adhere to outcomes for all curriculum and assessments, clearly communicate those outcomes to participants and ensure that curriculum and assessments outcomes are met-Instruct participants individually and cooperatively using various instructional methods such as hands-on demonstrations, active lectures and discussions-Administer Essential Skill learner assessments, both formal and informal-Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities-Complete progress reports in a timely fashion-Maintain accurate and complete participant records as required by laws and funding bodies

• Conducts Essential Skills testing using approved assessment tools• Prints reports once individuals have completed their assessment• Streams individuals to appropriate OFE programming depending on Essential Skill levels, or externally if barriers exist and/or they are interested in training not offered at OFE• Supports Employment Consultants with guidance on next steps to achieve their job search and training objectives if required• Raises awareness of the importance of Essential Skills in the workplace• Provides practical application of what Essential Skills employers are looking for in various occupations• Identifies options to improve Essential Skill levels needed to be successful at work• Engages learners with tools and activities to identify occupational skills, interests and abilities• Facilitates the process of employment goal setting and matching occupational profile(s) with essential skill levels • Incorporates Stages of Change and Motivational Interviewing concepts and techniques to assess and develop increased levels of motivation in regards to work readiness
