My role as a Technical Writer involves the creation of process and software specific documentation, including system guides, training material and testing guides. I also produce release packs and associated assets for stakeholder buy-in, and documents to graphically communicate ideas, infrastructure and process flows.

As an Instructional Designer I created facilitation plans for sessions running up to two days in length, learner guides and facilitator presentation materials, assessment activities and guides for assessors and practical extension activities.My audience consisted wholly of adults employed in a particular role, who were undertaking up-skilling activities to either prepare them for career advancement, or to function more effectively in their current position. Understanding adult learning principles helped me identify the particular needs of my audience in each project, and adapt content accordingly.

My role as a Production Specialist involved the creation and editing of graphical elements and advertising copy for web output.After a year in my role I was selected as a contributor to a large project, by representing my area as a subject matter expert, gathering, recording and communicating the needs of Online Production to contracted software developers.I was invited to use my background in adult education and my knowledge of Online Production to enhance the skills of existing employees and to train new recruits. To this end, I assisted in the selection process and recruitment of candidates, I helped develop training material and delivered training to staff.

Teaching at a tertiary level involved working primarily with adult students, catering to learners with differing backgrounds and knowledge bases. I wrote the content and developed lesson plans for most of the subjects I taught. I also created complementary resources, such as interactive animations to demonstrate particular points. I uploaded and delivered some content online, and prepared and conducted assessments.

My role at Learning Essentials involved sourcing and managing writers and graphic designers for the creation of educational resources. I wrote, proofed and edited all items for publication, and devised and managed templates.
