I currently work for the Training Unit in Human resources. I co-ordinate training courses for staff, arrange seminars for retiring employees, arrange training facilities for other departments, monitor performance data, and handle all enquiries from staff regarding these matters. Enquiries relate to arrangements , eligibility and funding. There are over 5000 staff in our organisation so this role is a busy one.

As office administrator and care co-ordinator, I supported client managers in 4 Community Health Organisations nationwide. I also scheduled care and liaised with carers , clients and HSE Officials in North Dublin.

This role involved caring for the elderly and infirm in their own homes.

In February I commenced employment with Datacode Electronics, which became TTL Computers in 1991, and finally Integral Computers in 1998. My employment with the company was continuous. I began my employment as secretary/ receptionist, and over the course of the following 14 years my role expanded. I managed the debtors/creditors and payroll functions, as well as managing the office. From 1995 I had some assistance from a full time office receptionist and handled some direct client work involving on site installation of credit card terminals in the Leinster area. I was employed on a part time basis from 1997 to 2001 when I became a full time mother.

While completing a post leaving certificate course, I was successful in the Civil Service examinations, and took up a post with the Revenue Commissioners in February 1983. I was employed in the PAYE divisions, and was responsible for postal applications, as well as handling public enquiries at the public counter. I took a career break in 1983 to do some travelling, and on returning to Ireland decided to retrain and took up employment in the private sector.
