About Amanda Mcclafferty
I have worked in Law Enforcement for over 6 and a half years and specifically in Criminal Intelligence Analysis for almost 5 years. I find that this type of work allows me to use my excellent analysis and communication skills, that I have honed throughout the years whilst at University as well as working with Grampian Police, now Police Scotland. As a member of Police Staff I have had to respond to intelligence and statistical requests quickly as is the nature in policing, I am able to work to tight deadlines while still maintaining a high standard of work. During my time working with the Police and the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscals Service I have been involved with operations of a sensitive nature and have always maintained the highest degree of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality. I have had to manage my own work load in my role as an Intelligence Analyst and a Research and Information Officer and have done so by effectively prioritizing my tasks. During my time working for the Police I have had to present briefings, both oral and written to Police Officers of all levels to enable them to carry out operations to a high standard using the intelligence provided. I am proficient in a range of Intelligence Products such as I2 Analyst Notebook and Problem / Target Profiles, in addition to this I am able to produce Strategic Assessments. As well as being able to use Business Objects to extract data from a range of databases and excel and word to display the data in an appropriate manner.My goal for my career is to continue to progress as an Intelligence Analyst and move more towards the Behavioural Analysis area of crime analysis.
