Associations are all about people — and in my mind, so is providing associations with the technology they need for their operations to run smoothly, effectively, and efficiently. That’s where ISG Solutions and I come in. ISG develops, sells, and supports iMIS EMS, including creating custom modules and conducting iMIS integrations. But what’s just as important as the technology is the relationships we build with our association clients.I started working with associations years ago, coordinating weekend workshops across the US for the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR). There were two aspects of my career at PTR that I truly loved, and still do today: building strong relationships with my clients and finding new, unique ways to change and use technology to make it work better for them. Working as a workshop coordinator, I found the database software was outdated and didn’t really suit our organization’s needs. When I suggested that we find something better, I was tasked with doing the research and making a recommendation. It was then that I discovered iMIS, and I’ve never looked back. As PTR’s IT Director, a role that I grew into, I worked with ISG as a client and developed solutions to give our members a better digital experience and to help make processes related to membership, billing, event coordination, and registration more effective and easier to accomplish.I continue that work today as a Senior Consultant at ISG, where I get to do what I love most every day — develop close relationships with our association clients and help them get the most out of the technology they depend on.
