"The best journeys are the ones without a goal. "I came across that phrase one day when I was very young, and it's held onto me since. At the end of high school I found myself getting ready to head off to The College of St. Benedict, but I really hand no idea or set goal in mind. My only thing was that I wanted to see what the world had to offer and learn all that I could. I found that I loved Communication, Writing, and that I had an interest in Asian history and digital art. From there I set out to learn and take in as much as I could, without a clear set path or goal. From there I stumbled upon opportunities and people that helped shape me as a person, and even led to me getting an internship with the local Girl Scout Council where I got to develop my writing skills and learned how to perfect many of the skills that I had never put into practice before. I'm soon going to set out into "the real world", and even there I don't have a set plan. I want to learn more every day and see what this world and what these opportunities hold for me.A job in Communication and Marketing seemed to be the best fit for me. I love talking to people, creating, developing, planning, and then after a project is done look to see what I could have done better or what I can do better next time to make it more valuable. I believe that this career path will foster my creative side and my people side to let me become not only a well rounded person, but to help those around me become more insightful and grow in their own journey.
