As the leader of this team it is ultimately my responsibility to ensure:• Assessment of current needs across University partners and make recommendations for enhancement and delivery methods to support the development of didactic and clinical/lab faculty and staff.• Identification, leading in design of, and delivering impactful faculty training that improves the global teaching effectiveness of didactic and clinical/lab faculty.• Effectiveness of the entire life cycle of training and development from needs assessment and design to development of e-learning capabilities and delivery.• Development and on-going maintenance of a goal-orientated, strategic business plan for the team.• Setting team priorities, build training plans, establish project timelines/development schedules and deploy resources based on capability and capacity.• Collaboration with internal and external senior leadership teams to establish Training and Development processes that include comprehensive and continual assessment of stakeholder needs (learning tools and resources/program/technology/metrics).• Work with senior leadership teams/subject matter experts to engage, unite, and support the creation and/or implementation of faculty relations and development programs to support Orbis Education’s strategic goals.• Leading and participating in highly visible, cross-functional initiatives.• Serving as a subject matter expert for teaching (instructional design), development, and training best practices and trends.• Assessment of training tools and systems.• Creation of an engaging training/learning environment in both physical and virtual “classroom” settings.• Monitoring the performance and effectiveness of Training and Development curriculum.• Planning, designing, building, implementation, and delivery of all Training and Development programs to support our didactic and clinical/lab faculty and staff.

As the Training and Development Specialist, I wrote and developed Orbis Education’s Training and Development Curriculum for Didactic and Clinical/Lab Faculty and Staff for all of our academic partners and our academic site faculty and staff. I work directly with the nursing leadership at our partner universities and sites to strategically plan and implement the curriculum in order to assist in delivering the highest levels of student outcomes and sustained persistence. I’m a firm believer that better educators directly and positively impacts student success and the overall student experience. By implementing and providing the training and development curriculum, our university partner’s faculty and staff will be connected with opportunities that facilitate and support interactive and effective online didactic, clinical, and lab teaching and learning skills in addition to valuable skills useful for professional growth.
