• Evaluate urgent and emergent conditions in order to determine immediate diagnostic orders and treatments. • Perform and assist with numerous hands-on procedures including IV placement, blood draw, wound closure with sutures and staples, reduction of dislocations, splinting, central line placement, chest tube insertion, and intubation. • Order laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging according to a detailed patient history and physical exam. • Recommend physical and pharmacological treatment to address medical concerns and determine the need for inpatient transfer or discharge.

• Conduct intake interviews with pediatric patients regarding their placement in inpatient care.• Address a multitude of mental health conditions including major depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.• Perform daily mental health evaluations by having meaningful discussion with the patients about their current mental state and its progression throughout their time at the hospital. • Suggest medication adjustments according to the drug's level of success and the patient's experience of side effects. • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and daily unit staff to formulate the most beneficial plan for the patient.
