I am a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Physiology and Neurobiology and a minor in Materials Science and Engineering. My goal is to pursue a career in scientific research, particularly in the realm of molecular research, where I explore innovative approaches to understanding and engineering molecular systems. I am a Translational Research Technologist at Weill Cornell. Since 2022, I have been working across multiple disciplines, including immunology, oncology, and allergy medicine; acquiring skills in immuno-histochemistry staining (standard and immunofluorescent), blood sample processing, and flow cytometry, among others.In my undergraduate years, I began gaining laboratory experience in studying hypothalamically expressed genes to analyze their function and effects on hunger and satiety in mammalian models. I also worked in a biomedical engineering lab focusing on articular cartilage repair and tissue image analysis; observing how different chemical solutions could influence cartilage restoration.
