I'm Amanda, a Research Scientist with expertise in developing cutting-edge CAR-T cell therapies for our furry friends.🎓 Academically, I earned my B.S. in Biochemistry at CSS followed by a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biophysics at UMN. During my Ph.D., I dove deep into protein and molecular biology, honing my skills to push the boundaries of genome engineering.💼 Currently, as a Research Scientist, I'm involved in pioneering research at the intersection of medicine and biotechnology. My focus lies in leveraging molecular biology techniques to develop innovative tailored CAR-T cell therapies and conducting massive in cellulo primary screens. In addition to this, I have been working on improving my bioinformatics muscles to bring more computational pipelines in-house (Python and R).🧵 Outside of the lab, you'll often find me indulging in my creative side.
