Managed the L&D function, for ‘on-site’ clients across various sites in the UK. Building strong relationships with key stakeholders across Sitel and external clients was a key requisite to the success in this role. A highly challenging environment with high turnover which required flexibility with ever changing training needs. Strong emphasis was focused on customer satisfaction surveys, working with senior management to improve internal ‘net promoter scores’The emphasis in this role was to make sure we reached and exceeded targets set by the client and therefore made this role not only focus on the training activity but also, recruitment, long term planning and pre-empting any changes the client may make.

This was a new role creating a ‘blank canvas’ to work from. Initially heavily focused on TNA’s across the business, in order to create the right solutions to the business needs. My responsibilities also included managing the L&D budget for the business as well as managing any external training needs making sure these were kept in line with the budgetary requirements. Working within the HR team, my team and I focused on long term solutions rather than just ‘quick fixes’ although these were sometimes necessary. Although the role worked with operational areas of the business where a lot of training was focused it was also key to the business success to focus on other areas such as – sales & marketing, consultancy, IT, finance and the needs of the HR function.
