I am a fantasy writer, poet, and book blogger. I am a Vice-Chancellor's Scholar at Queensland University of Technology studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Creative Writing). I work in a library, where I am able to share my love for reading, tangibly help my community, and be surrounded by the magical smell of paper and ink. My career aim is to work in publishing, where I can combine my skillsets in writing and editing with my passion for helping others. I care about diverse representation and think that one way towards a better world is through literary empathy. I want to uplift diverse voices through my own work and by supporting the works of others.I have developed my writing and editing skillset through a number of formal roles. In 2020, I worked for Rhiza Edge, University of Queensland Press, and The Book Curator. I also worked as a Marketing Assistant for Queensland Poetry. My work has been published in Voyage Journal, Voiceworks, Blue Bottle Journal, Glass, Scratch That, and in Queer Sci Fi’s flash fiction anthology "Migration" (2019). I have performed for Queensland Poetry and The QUT Literary Salon.I have a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and a love for tackling challenges. In 2018, I volunteered as the Brisbane Students Engagement Manager for Spark Engineering Camp, a Youth Without Borders initiative aimed at empowering young people with barriers to tertiary education. While on exchange in Canada in 2017, I forayed into blogging about my travel experiences. I would love to incorporate travel into my future career. I currently blog about books at steepingstories.wordpress.com.
