Duties include:- Acknowledging the customers and ensuring all orders are followed through right up to the delivery date. - Dealing with transport companies to arrange collection and delivery of orders and to ensure all documents are in order and complete for sending onto the customer. - Dealing with export order requirements, dealing with hauliers to arrange the relevant transport, raising the appropriate certificates from the local Chamber of Commerce for each specific order if required.- Handling of UK Steel accounts and Netherlands, of which I deal mainly with the onsite account managers, but also on occasions speak to personnel direct with any orders or problems that they may have. - Liaising with manufacturing plants whether in the UK and overseas for delivery dates and with transport to check that deliveries are made on time. - General office duties consist of order entry, quotations, weekly delivery reports. - Ensuring that the customer’s accounts are kept up to date and liaising with our accounts department to clear and solve any problems that may occur.
