I meet with inventors and explain what the patenting process entails. I take time to understand the invention which allows me to provide patentability opinions for the inventors and to write patent applications for submission to the USPTO. I also devise and implement a prosecution strategy with the goal of obtaining an issuance of the patent application into a legally enforceable patent. I also create applications that conform to the USPTO standards from a foreign application if an inventor wants to enter the National Stage.

I researched science information and explained it to attorneys that were dealing with chemical substances, or physical kinematic and dynamic possibilities. I also did light legal research to provide attorneys or paralegals a starting point to continue their legal research.

Worked with Dr. Tomohiko Narita, astrophysicist. Created an IDL computer program based, in part, on a PERL program to refine and analyze data from NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory for the X-ray binary star system XB 1916-053’s accretion disc. The program creates curve-of-growth graphs for the absorption spectra of different ions present in the disc, which allowed me to discern a model for the system’s coronal distribution.
