Amanda is the Director General of the Office of Energy Research and Development at Natural Resources Canada where she is responsible for federal energy innovation and carbon management policy and programming. She is Chair of the International Energy Agency’s Committee on Energy Research and Technology (CERT) and serves as the Canadian representative on the Mission Innovation Steering Committee. Prior to taking on her current role, Amanda held the position of Director of Operations for the Smart Cities Challenge at Infrastructure Canada. She previously served as Executive Director, then Acting Director General, of the Centre for Chronic Disease Prevention at the Public Health Agency of Canada. Amanda has also held executive level positions at Health Canada, including in the Deputy Minister's Office and the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch. She holds a law degree from the University of Ottawa and an undergraduate degree in political science from Dalhousie University.
