Associate To The Vice President Of Student Life
CurrentServes as confidential executive assistant to the Vice President for Student Life. Coordinates the VPSL’s activities, including management of a complex calendar, travel arrangements and associated logistics.Manages correspondence for Vice President and Student Life Office to/from: parents/family, faculty, staff, students, President's Office, VPs, senior staff, legal counsel, government offices, public community and peer institutions. Prepares for and attends various meetings. Prepare and compile all pertinent information, agendas, notification of attendees, and transcribe meeting minutes for: Vice President’s senior staff weekly meetings, managers' quarterly meetings, divisional monthly meetings, managers' and divisional retreats, special meetings and events (e.g. Board of Trustee committee meetings, Student Life Fall Kickoff).Serves as the initial point of contact for parent and family inquiries. Represents Student Life on the Parent & Family Relations Committee. Assists with the planning and implementation of Parent & Family Weekend and Parent & Family Orientation events. Works closely with VP and Student Life Leadership Team to develop and implement divisional policies and procedures such as: mobile allowance policy, professional development funding, and Student Life universal onboarding plan. Coordinates with division hiring managers the onboarding of new employees into the Student Life divisionCoordinates the leave of absence and withdrawal process for Student Life. Guide students through the process, track data, and maintain records for leave of absence, medical leave of absence, and withdrawals.Responsible for the overall budget management of the Student Life Office under the direction of the VPSL and Dean of Students. Handles event planning (e.g. catering, room reservations, audio-visual requests) for events and meetings sponsored by the Vice President and Dean of Students.Manages operations of the Student Life Office.
