• Responsible for the weekly, monthly and annual schedule including all programming and events • Develop and oversee the vision of new programs and ensure that all goals are being met• Manage all social media outreach and advertising• Manage grants and funding opportunities• Manage Family Matters: LGBTQ Youth Perspectives, a photography exhibition by Carolyn Sherer and its premier at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute as well as the 2015-2017 exhibition tour.• Cultivate strong community partnerships in order to deliver the highest quality of varied services to the communityThe Magic City Acceptance Center (MCAC) provides safe and affirming space for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) youth ages 13-24, as well as children and adults in the Birmingham area.

MCAP was developed when small group of volunteers acknowledged a lack of response to the strengths and needs of youth who identify themselves as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or Queer (LGBTQ) and their families. Focusing on LGBTQ 101 and cultural competency trainings at social service agencies specifically dealing with youth, MCAP hopes to complete over 400 trainings and encourage these agencies to embrace inclusive policy language with non-discrimination clauses based on sexual identity, sexual preference or gender identity. MCAP also promotes best-practices for family acceptance, believing that families love their children and ultimately want what's best for them.

•Manage all agency deposits and monthly grant billings.•Manage accounts receivable funds and report to Board of Directors on financial status.•Annually participate in monitoring and revision of grant budgets.•Conduct daily and monthly bank account reconciliation, invoice audit and check reconciliation.•Provide financial oversight and reporting to assist Client Services Director with management and decision making to assure the long term financial health of the organization.
