Collaborative research into the cultural changes of Lowcountry rice plantations in the Georgetown County area of South Carolina. Research included mapping changes of plantation plats from establishment to current day with the creation of map overlays, as well as deed research specifically concentrating on Northern influence following the Civil War. Ongoing objective is to create a GIS compatible and interactive exploration tool for the greater Charleston plantations.
