I am a teacher in an elementary public school setting. I hold certification for Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I have two years of experience in a kindergarten classroom setting. I knew I wanted to be a teacher since I was young. Several members of my family were educators and I loved watching their passion for education. I love being an active motivator in my students' development academically and personally. As a teacher, I focus on developing and implementing differentiated, standard driven, engaging lessons that will accommodate all my students' diverse learning abilities. Most recently, I integrated STEM into a science lesson where students explored water properties through creation of a boat using cups, straws, and other materials. As an educator I believe that diversity, integrated technology, and project-based learning help students develop a love for learning. I strive to build strong relationships with my students. I am a firm believer in teaching through a relationship. I work to build this relationship inside and outside of school by attending events that are of importance to my students. I strive to help my students develop their skills, knowledge, and interest in a classroom setting.
