    • I developed a patent for a compostable tent during my undergraduate degree, which won several awards and £65,000 UK public funding. Through accelerator programmes with The Royal Academy of Engineering, ENVIU and the UK Design Council, I learned how to commercialise innovations. • I developed, piloted and launched several other products/services adopting circular economy principles for the festival sector. Comp-A-Tent eventually pivoted into a sustainability consultancy with a strong reputation in the events sector for driving scalable, profitable solutions through systems thinking processes and data. • My data collected of abandoned campsite waste fed the ‘take your tent home campaign’, which was successful in more than halving the number of tents left at UK festivals between 2018 and 2019. One large UK festival saved 10,000 tents, equivalent to 30T and £50,000 in clearing costs. • I developed sustainability strategies for Creamfields, Pride UK (100+ city events), Countryfile Live, and co-authored The Show Must Go On Report for Vision 2025, commissioned by 100+ EU festivals.

I developed troubleshooting skills for electronic ‘smart bins’. • I coordinated 2 tonnes of beach plastic collection from over 100 volunteers to create £30,000 worth of PET & HDPE pellets used in Ren skincare and Head & Shoulders packaging. • Critical responsibilities for both projects included executing a tight budget and timeframe, weekly reporting to clients, managing and procuring suppliers and technical expertise for troubleshooting. • As the EU materials solutions specialist, I was also responsible for finding suitable technologies for processing complex streams and answering daily inquiries from clients, prospects and the public.
