About Amanda Dykstra
At Life Navigators, I manage our resource development, event planning and marketing initiatives. I coordinate our major fundraising events, including our Annual Challenger Event, which raised over $500,000 for kids and adults with disabilities in 2024. I oversee volunteer and donor recognition opportunities and facilitate our donor cultivation activities. I have also enhanced our communications with stakeholders by increasing our eBlasts, growing our Facebook and LinkedIn presence, creating a Twitter handle, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram account and redesigning our website with a contracted vendor. I was able to enhance our organization’s branding by implementing a WiseStamp email signature, creating new brochures and producing trade show banners among other promotional materials. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to expand our Self-Advocacy & Independence Program through event management as well as establishing and building upon significant community relationships. Life Navigators is Your Disability Partner. Through Life Navigators' services, kids and adults with disabilities receive support to live, work and fully participate in our community. Programs and services include social and community outings, basic need items, Children's Long-Term Care services, Family Support, Corporate Guardianship and a Special Needs Trust Program. Life Navigators is one of two major special needs trust programs in the State of Wisconsin, providing a tool for families to financially plan for the future of a loved one with a disability.Interested in making a difference? You can support Life Navigators by giving a gift of time through volunteering or joining our board of directors and sub-committees. Our amazing business and community partners are also vital for creating social opportunities for individuals with disabilities to be out and active in our community.
