About Amanda Schaefer
My name is Amanda Schaefer and I have a passion for dramatic arts and the business side of the arts industry. I grew up in northeast Ohio, enjoying the rich arts and culture of Cleveland, and participating in local theater and arts camps. These traits and experiences have led me to pursue a degree in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship with a minor in Theater at Baldwin Wallace University, located in Berea, Ohio.At Baldwin Wallace I have taken multiple classes to learn about marketing, and marketing for the arts specifically. Marketing and audience development is essential to all arts organizations. Although my focus is in theater, my education applies to all art forms. Not only is it important to sell tickets, but the arts are meant to be shared and celebrated, so it is important that we are reaching a wide audience so they may share in the art form. Recently, I have been pursuing opportunities in theater production and marketing for the arts. My experiences in theater management include working with local children’s theater programs, and I currently work as a House Manager for Baldwin Wallace University’s Theater & Dance Department. Additionally, I was recently appointed a position as Assistant Producer of Baldwin Wallace Musical Theatre's Senior Showcase. After graduating in May of 2025, I hope to work at a theater in the Cleveland area in musical theater production or theater marketing.I take pride in my abilities as an adaptable, active leader with strong communication and teamwork skills. I am a highly involved and passionate individual, currently serving as Treasurer of BW's Arts Management Association, and Sophomore Class Vice President, just to name a few. All of these experiences have made me a better leader, and I find it very rewarding to be actively involved in my school and community.
