As a result of my success as AVP, I was promoted to lead all Property & Casualty Direct Sales nationally. In this capacity, I grew outbound sales 36% between 2016 and 2017 by rolling out targeted marketing tactics based on social media data. Consequently, my team of 500 associates exceeded top line growth targets while realizing costs 7% below the annual operating budget.Also notable, I improved the close ratio 6% after implementing a call routing solution and led an initiative to enhance MetLife’s understanding of customer buying behavior by partnering with a start-up to analyze client data. In 2013, I was recruited by MetLife to transform their lead generation capabilities, add new sales channels, aggressively grow revenue and open a East Coast call center. Over 3 years, under my leadership the organization achieved 110-113% of premium growth targets while establishing new sales, customer retention and talent recruiting strategies. These results were achieved by building an outbound sales team and Customer Retention Unit from scratch and implementing email and internet sales capabilities. While serving in this capacity, I led a multi site team of 225+ licensed agents and managed a $30M budget. In addition to driving top line premium growth, I led several successful transformative initiatives. The virtual call center implementation and the licensed agent hiring program, for example, decreased overhead & training costs and reduced new hire speed to proficiency from 9 to 4.5 months.
