64.6 Downtown is a nonprofit committed to creating vibrant spaces in downtown Fort Smith through business development, arts and culture, special events, and the promotion of attractive amenities to accelerate development of diverse commerce. We are the conductor at the intersection where the arts, recreation, entertainment, and lifestyle collide to create a vibrant downtown.64.6 Downtown is an accredited member of Main Street Arkansas and Main Street America.

-Classes taught over the past five school years: 11th grade English literature with a focus on American literature, AP English Literature and Composition, AP English Language and Composition, 10th grade English, 9th grade English, 8th grade English, 7th grade English, Journalism I, and photography-Design course curriculum to ensure that state standards and district goals are met-Create and adapt unit scope and individualized daily lesson plans in accordance with state and district guidelines for seventh through twelfth grade English language courses-Adapt lessons for students with specific IEPs, 504s, and students who require differing curricular approaches-Certified AP English Literature and AP English Language teacher-Advise on the production of the student-led online school newspaper (Haas Hall Herald) that encompasses content from all five Haas Hall Academy campuses, while mentoring student journalists-Advise on production and content creation, including copy and photography, for the district-wide yearbook (Veritas)-Teach journalism courses aligned with Journalism I and Journalism II Arkansas English Language Arts Standards

-Oversees promotable content for the station’s platforms; including television, digital and social media-Responsible for weekly targeted special reports that often air on all company stations in prime time-Oversees several award winning long-format shows on a wide variety of topics including Oklahoma Heisman Trophy winners, Oklahoma’s economy and the state’s health crisis-Works closely with marketing and sales staff to promote special content on all stations and platforms-Coordinates election coverage including content, planning, staffing assignments and coordination across all station departments-Serves as point person in Weather Department during hours-long severe weather coverage

-Led a three-hour morning newscast at a first-place station in a top 40 market-Managed content for television, social media, mobile, and website-Oversaw strategy and daily execution of news, breaking news and severe weather coverage -Served as mentor, coach and manager to morning show staff including anchors, reporters, producers and meteorologist

-Managed newsroom and day-to-day content-Implemented live weekend morning newscasts on KFSM and KXNW -Improved household and key demo ratings for the weekday morning shows-Successfully managed special coverage for breaking news, severe weather, elections and sports specials

-Produced weekday 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. shows Jan. 2011- June 2013-Produced weekend evening shows Sept. 2009 – Jan. 2011-Produced live coverage of Razorback football coach Bobby Petrino’s firing-Coordinated and executed live coverage of deadly tornadoes in Cincinnati, Denning and Altus, Ark., as well as deadly flooding in Spring of 2011
