The Energy Bar Association is an international, non-profit association of attorneys, non-attorney professionals, and students active in all areas of energy law. EBA has seven regional chapters across the U.S. and I am currently serve as President for the Midwest Chapter.The Midwest EBA Chapter hosts educational seminars, including an annual conference and a natural gas primer. As Midwest Chapter President, I helped the EBA Midwest Chapter coordinate the Eighteenth Annual Midwest Energy Conference, "Exploring New Trends and Emerging Issues Facing the Energy Industry" will be held at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago, IL on March 30-31, 2015. The Midwest Chapter proudly hosted Judge Richard Allen Posner, US Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit, as the keynote luncheon speakers. Outstanding panels were held on: Physical and cyber security; EPA 111d carbon rule; Gas/Electric Coordination and Distributed Generation, all of which appealed to both industry professionals as well as lawyers.
