I am a qualified Solicitor specialising in employment law. Having previously worked as an Associate in a commercial law firm and more recently in-house as Head of Legal, I have now joined Starford as a consultant lawyer. I have extensive experience in advising businesses on complex and strategic HR matters and can draw on both my legal and operational experience in order to provide advice that is relevant, practical and to the point. I advise clients on a broad range of non-contentious matters including contractual terms and policies, restructures and redunancies and TUPE. I also advise employees (mainly at senior exec level) and conduct complex exit negotiations on their behalf. A key area of specialism is litigation and I have led on many complex cases including discrimination, unfair dismissal and whistleblowing at the Employment Tribunal and higher courts. I am also experienced in conducting advocacy in the Employment Tribunal. I also carry out complex investigations which are outsourced by employers and often involve serious allegations of discrimination, bullying and harassment. I work closely with all of my clients to really understand their requirements and culture and to help them achieve their wider business objectives.
