I am the Chief Privacy Officer / Director of Privacy, Governance, Risk, and Compliance at West Virginia University. I have over 15 years of experience working in higher education with a focus on privacy and GRC within the university’s central IT unit since 2017. I lead a team that is responsible for conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, implementing technology governance, and providing cybersecurity awareness. I am CRISC certified and have direct experience implementing policies and security controls to promote compliance across a complex environment.
