I'm passionate about researching and advocating for policy solutions to drive down greenhouse gas emissions from the oil and gas sector, particularly methane emissions. I have over 10 years of experience conducting complex research, writing and publishing high-quality materials for various audiences, presenting and mobilizing knowledge. My interest in methane began when I noticed an incongruity between narratives that emphasized apparent early successes in meeting reduction targets, on the one hand, and news articles and academic research showing that methane emissions are consistently underestimated and underreported, on the other. I worked as a policy researcher and writer at St. Francis Xavier University's FluxLab (one of Canada's foremost methane measurement labs) and as a consultant at the Pembina Institute before joining the Pembina Institute full-time as a Senior Analyst.
