•Co-advise a student population of around 1500 College of Agriculture students. •Administer educational advising programming and initiatives to positively affect student experience. •Utilize university resources and databases to provide educational guidance to students by interpreting and enforcing degree requirements and university/college policies and procedures. •Work with students to determine appropriate education solutions consistent with their academic needs and goals. •Provide case management to students not meeting educational requirements and offers guidance toward other possible academic programs. •Serve as crisis management point of contact for Dean’s Office and faculty advisors, maintaining current affiliations and training with SafeSpace, Lighthouse, and LSU Student and Mental Health Centers. •Analyze retention date and collaborates with student services and the Assistant Dean to determine on-going adjustments to advising programming and student outreach. •Maintain student records collection in accordance with SACSCOC accreditation requirements. •Develop presentations and coordinates advising efforts at various LSU Orientation events. •Liaison to LSU senior colleges and student support resources on campus, including, but not limited to Student Health Center, Center for Academic Success, Student Advocacy & Accountability, Disability Services, and Veterans’ Affairs.

• Contributes to, in coordination with the Assistant Director of Recruitment, the development of an annual student recruitment plan and determining recruitment strategies• Aid the Assistant Director of Recruitment with on-campus events, student programming, and scheduling personal on-campus tours for prospective students and families• Assists with individualized student visits, meeting one-on-one with prospective students and families on campus and virtually• Manages group tours while working closely with faculty and staff in the college's schools and departments to schedule educational experiences for middle and high school events• Aid in the development of communication plans for prospective and admitted students and contribute to materials used for student recruitment including; brochures, promotional items, websites, presentations, training manuals, and social media • Travels in-state and out-of-state to attend recruitment events and make presentations at high schools, community and technical colleges, college and career fairs, and state 4-H and FFA programming• Plans educational programming for outreach events targeting middle school and underclassman students such as East Baton Rouge Parish 6th Grade Days • Co-directs the College's living-learning community, the Agriculture Residential College • Supervises annual budgeting, planning and implementation of strategic retention programming for first-year students, and manages peer mentors associated with the Agriculture Residential College• Serve as instructor for AGRI 1001 Freshman Seminar• Advise and train the College of Agriculture Les Voyageurs (student ambassadors) team of 17 undergraduate students by attending weekly officer and team meetings and organizing training retreats and annual service and professional development trip• Elected to LSU Staff Senate, serving on the Education and Professional Development as well as Staff Appreciation and Events Committees

• Utilized Tier 1 teaching curriculum to create engaging lesson plans that aligned with state standards• Integrated technology into math lessons to further understanding and provide hands-on experience• Incorporated opportunities for students to use math in real-world scenarios such as an end-of-the-year project, Shark Tank Jr., where students created a product, marketing plan, budget, cost per item, projected revenue, and how many items they would need to sell to make a profit. This cross-curricular activity also worked on their teamwork skills as well as public speaking and communication skills• Stressed the importance of being financially literate such as lessons explaining the power of compound interest and other mathematical concepts that could be a tool for them in the future• Established and communicated clear objectives and monitored progress for all learning activities• Worked with students and parents from various educational and cultural backgrounds to best prepare them for further years in an academic magnet environment• Sponsored various student organizations such as the National Junior Honor Society, BETA club, and an award-winning math competition team• Coached basketball, track, and cross-country which included coordinating team travel and funds, compiling and submitting documentation in compliance with LHSAA regulations, and supporting my players both academically and emotionally during the athletic season
