FuturFund helps to give students the tools they need to transition out of high school and into adulthood by delivering workshops on personal finance management. As the director of our Ottawa chapter, I taught workshops at a number of high schools in the Ottawa area, where I made it my mission to transform important technical information into information that could be easily understood. Our ability to be consistently innovative with our workshop material is what helps us keep students engaged and ensures that they walk away smarter about their finances. Our workshops include topics such as: budgeting, credit, interest, debt, savings, and investing. With help from our amazing team, the Ottawa chapter has delivered workshops to over 220 teens in the Ottawa area and is continuing to grow.

As a policy assistant I was tasked with evaluating a policy project. The evaluation consisted of conducting stakeholder research and the analysis of historical documents, ministry databases, and policy manuals. By the completion of my contract, I had completed a recommendations report based on the analysis of my research. I prepared a presentation summarizing the report and delivered the presentation to the office manage and director.
