Amanda is currently embarking on a new path including freelance photography work and part-time teaching at a collegiate level. Before this chapter began, she was most recently the Photography Services Manager in the office of University Communications at Grand Valley State University. She received a Bachelor of Science in Photography (minors in Business & Sociology) from GVSU in 2005, and a Master of Communications from GVSU in 2010. Amanda was employed at GVSU for 16.5 years during which time on any given day she might be found on the tops of buildings, deep underground, on a frozen waterfall, in a helicopter, on a boat, underwater, and sometimes even in her office! Beyond her skills in creating digital imagery, Amanda is also a skilled planner, collaborator, corporate relations specialist, and administrator. When she is not working, she likes to spend time with her family participating in scootering, hiking, camping, and especially cuddle time with her pets.
