Provided employment law, employee relations and HR advice and support to a large portfolio of SME clients operating in a variety of industry sectors. Working with clients to understand their needs; I helped to resolve sensitive and complex issues ranging from disciplinary or grievance matters, poor performance, absence management, redundancy, settlement agreements or TUPE transfers. I produced guidelines and/or scripts for clients in their meetings with employees and where necessary I attended the meetings to either conduct the meeting or provide on-site support and guidance to the client. I also produce the appropriate letters to employees.I also audited clients employment law documentation, produced tailored Contracts of Employment, Director Service Agreements, Contract for Services and policies and procedures for their Employee Handbook.

Provided a generalist HR service to approximately 250 employees in various legal and support functions. This included advising, supporting and facilitating proceedings on performance issues; disciplinary and grievance procedures; sickness absenteeism; retirement; maternity; recruitment and contractual policies.

Provided advice and support to approximately 550 employees, some of whom worked around the world, within the Technology and Telecommunications division on policies and procedures and on interpretation of employment law.

Managed and co-ordinated recruitment campaigns; interviewed secretarial and IT staff; conducted inductions; negotiated rates and terms with recruitment agencies; managed staff levels when secretaries were on holiday or off sick; provided advice on policies and procedures; supported and counselled staff, sometimes in difficult situations.
