As part of the Marketing and Communications team, I am responsible for supporting strategic corporate marketing and internal communications. A key part of the job is providing guidance and professional assistance to Vice-Presidents of Operations, thought leaders, branch managers, brand ambassadors and HR leads in Ontario and Atlantic Canada regarding annual marketing, communications and change management efforts.Responsibilities include: strategic and sensitive communications, brand integration strategy, content creation and management, focused SEO content strategy, directing agency and team of freelance writers to ensure production needs are met, managing social media strategy development and execution, analyze and report on content success using data to drive decisions, quarterly planning, budget, and projections for content related initiatives.

Collaborating with team members to support marketing strategies. Started by managing DST's entire online image which included an entire new corporate website, LinkedIn profile, Facebook page, etc. Handled all marketing and communication requests for a 100+ company with nine (9) offices across Canada. A key focus was improving the usability and design of the DST website. Responsible for budgetary planning of marketing operations. Plan and coordinate logistics for the trade shows and conference events DST attends: IPC, CGS Annual Conference, RemTech, NADF Mining Summit, PDAC, RPIC.

Developed and implemented a marketing plan intended to raise the profile of the Enter the Den Business Plan Writing Competition in the community while also working to secure new sponsors and more applicants. Was also responsible for developing and maintaining all social media for Enter the Den: Facebook, Twitter, Tumbler, as well as the competitions official website. Increased participation in the competition by 50% and broadened the competitions reach to include Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School.

Responsible for research and planning for the redesign of Cave and Basin National Historic Site's heritage center. This involved identifying relevant Canadian personalities, both known and unknown, visitors would identify with and which would best represent the story that the Park was trying to convey. Responsibilities included desk-top research, conducting phone and in-person interviews, coordinating video interviews with media crew and associated logistics, creative writing. The new and updated Cave and Basic National Historic Site is open to the public!
