I am a Gerontologist who specializes in aging in place and proactive care management. I am an experienced leader in the non profit senior living field with a majority of my career spent operating Continuing Care at Home programs in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Maryland. I have a passion for working with older adults that began over 16 years ago when I worked in the dining room of a retirement community for my after school job. I have worked in aging services ever since that experience in many different roles including direct care, care management, marketing/sales, operations, and administration. I enjoy spending time with those I serve and educating them about various topics related to aging and long-term care. I try to empower older adults to make informed decisions about their future and their care. I am a strong advocate for my clients and help them navigate the healthcare system. I am well versed in long-term care insurance and other ways to finance care. I am also passionate about mentoring the new generation of gerontologists and leaders in the aging services field. It is important for me to pass on the knowledge and experiences I have to others.
